Q. How accurate will my initial life insurance quote be?
It’s important to note that quotes are simply an estimate of what you will be paying to be covered by a particular policy. Not until the medical exam is completed, verified and your final paperwork approved, will you receive a precise life insurance quote and know exactly what premium you’ll ultimately be paying. This final premium is known as an underwritten rate.
This is true for all medically underwritten term life insurance. The quick quotes you see online are just ballpark figures. No company can give accurate life insurance quotes until you speak to a licensed agent and complete the application process, which includes a medical exam.
